How Long Is The H-1B Visa Valid?
An H-1B visa holder is admitted to the U.S. for up to three years, and may be extended for
an additional three years for a total of six years. VisaNow.com® can
make the application to extend the H-1B visa for an additional three years.
What is the H-1B Cap?
The congressionally mandated H-1B cap is set at 65,000 visas per fiscal year.
Does the H-1B Cap Affect My Application?
Fortunately, the cap only affects new H-1B visas and does not affect individuals who are in H-1B status
and are obtaining an extension or amendment of the currently held H-1B status. However, if you are not currently in H-1B status, or are found to have failed to maintain the terms of your H-1B status, you will likely be
subject to the cap.
