Immigration Attorney

As an attorney, you will provide attorney support for customers of VISANOW. In this position, you will work with the Legal Services Department members in the execution of filing and maintaining our immigration applications. You will work with all levels of the organization, and have the opportunity to have a significant impact on the development of a successful and fast-growing company.
A Juris Doctorate is required. You should have a minimum of 2-5 years of experience working as an attorney, either with a law firm or as in-house counsel. It is preferred that you have 2-3 years experience working in the discipline of immigration law. High fluency and expertise speaking and writing in both Spanish & English are required.
Duties/responsibilities include:
Solve legal and non-legal problems by answering client questions online throughout the day as well as through scheduled teleconferences.
Review applications, forms and documents to ensure successful adjudication of applications.
Develop legal strategies and communicate these with team members in preparation of applications.
Provide management with guidance in identifying the critical problems to which the application of legal principals will yield the greatest opportunities for minimizing risks.
Keep fully informed of all new developments in immigration law issues and keep fellow attorneys and management informed of applicable new laws and of the progress and results of applications when necessary.
Represent clients before CIS and Departments of Labor and State via email, mail and telephone.
Assist team members by interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations regarding immigration and related matters.
