Work

Anyone who wants to work in China must secure an Employment Z Visa prior to commencing work. The Z Work Visa process is a multi-step process starting with securing the Employment License and Invitation Letter from the Chinese Labor Ministry. Once these documents are secured in China, the applicant can apply at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate abroad for a Single Entry Z Visa. Once in China, the process can be finalized by securing the relevant work and residence permits.

Business

A Business F Visa is granted for the purpose of business in China; this includes a visit, lecture, client meetings, and networking for no more than six months.

Study

Study X Visa is granted for the purpose of studying in China which includes advanced studies or intern practice for more than six months. Note, applicants looking to study for less than six months should apply for an F Visa.

Visit/Family/Marriage

Tourist L Visa is granted for the purpose of tourism; for example, sightseeing or visiting family/friends or for other personal affairs.
