A V-3 visa is issued to the dependent child of V-1 and V-2 visa holders.
Who Qualifies for a V-3 Visa Classification?
A dependent child (i.e. under 21 years old and unmarried) of a V-1 or V-2 visa holder. Please see V-1 and V-3 section for further information on those visas.
What are the Requirements for a V-3 Visa?
- The Beneficiary of the V-3 must be a child i.e. unmarried and under 21 years old;
- The Beneficiary of the V-3 must be the child of the Beneficiary of a V-1 or V-2 visa.
Can V-3 Visa Holders be Employed?
Yes; V-3 visa holders may concurrently or subsequently file Form I-765 for employment authorization.
How Long is the V-3 Visa Valid?
A V-3 visa is valid for the duration of the primary V-1 or V-3 visa assuming the V-3 visa holder remains a “child” for the purposes of immigration law.
