U.S. Visas: P-2
A P-2 visa is issued to individuals who perform as artists or entertainers, individually or part of a group, that are a part of a reciprocal international exchange program. P-2 classification also includes essential support personnel for the primary P-2 applicant.
What Are The Requirements For An P-2 Visa?
VISANOW can prepare and file the P-2 application if the applicant is presently in the U.S. in valid status or if the applicant is outside the U.S.
The P-2 visa applicant must demonstrate that he/she is involved in a reciprocal exchange program between an organization or organizations in the U.S. and in one or more foreign organizations and which provides for the temporary exchange of artists, entertainers or groups.
The P-2 visa applicant must be either an artist or entertainer with skills comparable to those of the U.S. entertainer participating in the exchange. No fixed level of expertise is required.
A P-2 visa applicant does not need to show that he/she is in a lead or starring role or has achieved international recognition, or that he/she has been involved in a program that has a distinguished reputation.
How Long Is The P-2 Visa Valid?
P-2 visa holders are admitted for the time necessary to complete the reciprocal international exchange event or program up to one year. The P-2 visa holder may apply for extensions in one year increments.
VISANOW can assist both in the preparation of the initial P-2 application and also in the P-2 extension application.
