Work Authorization is granted to anyone wishing to work in Brazil. The most common
visa is the Technical Work Visa (Vitem-V). The approval is secured in Brazil by
applying at the Ministry of Labor. Once the approval has been granted by the Ministry,
the applicant must present their visa application at the Brazilian Consulate in
their home country. Upon arrival in Brazil, the employee must register with the
Federal Police, the Labor Ministry, and Tax Authorities. Note: The document collection
process is intense and we recommend getting started as early as possible.
A Business Vitem II Visa is granted for the purpose of business in Brazil. This
includes trips including attending business meetings, conferences, or business exploration.
This does not allow technical activities.
Temporary Visa IV (Vitem-IV) is granted for the purpose of studying graduate or
post graduated academic studies in Brazil.
Tourist (VITUR) Visa is granted to an application for the purpose of sightseeing,
visiting family or relatives.
