Work Authorization (FM3) is granted to anyone wishing to work in Japan. The process
involves applying in Japan for authorization from the National Immigration Institute
(INM). Once approved the employee has to present himself and application at the
Japan Consulate in his home country. Once in Japan, the employee must register
with the National Registry of Foreigners, this must be done within 30 days of arrival.
A Business Visa is granted for the purpose of business in Japan. This includes
trips including attending business meetings, conferences, or business exploration.
This does not allow technical activities.
A Student Visa is granted for the purpose of studying graduate or post graduated
academic studies in Japan.
Tourist Visa is granted to an application for the purpose of sightseeing, visiting
family or relatives.
